What some may call, “getting close to turning the corner,” shippers are reviewing priorities and, as a result, technology is at the forefront of 2022 objectives. In the case of supply chains, visibility reigns as the number one reason for implementation of a transportation management system, followed closely by the need to automate processes. The market agrees, as signaled by the recent equity funding of project44 leading to a $240 million dollar equity investment. Project44 is a leading realtime visibility platform giving shippers range of vision to all modes with one connection.
Companies are finding that transparency within their supply chain builds trust with their customers. That trust, in turn, builds confidence in their selection of a company as a supplier, distributor or retailer. A 2019 study led by MIT Sloan professor Y. Karen Zheng states, “Increasing supply chain visibility always strengthens consumer trust.”
